Top 10 Highest Paying Jobs in Indonesia in 2023

Pursuing higher education up to university is often commensurate with the expectation of an illustrious career with high pay. However, it turns out that only a handful of careerists enjoy the privilege of high salaries in the country.

A survey by Salary Explorer, a salary comparison site and career portal, reveals that there are top 10 highest paying jobs in Indonesia. Following is the full data as quoted by CNBC Indonesia, Sunday (5/2/2023).

1. Surgeon or Doctor

The medical department has been a long-time target and many enthusiasts. No wonder the qualification to enter the medical department is very high and the cost is quite expensive.

According to the Salary Explorer survey, the salaries of the highest paid surgeons and doctors in Indonesia rank first. The range is IDR 23,900,000 to 68,700,000.

Salary Explorer's official website states, "The profession of a surgeon involves a high risk and extensive knowledge as well as a long period of learning. This is the reason why this job is paid so highly."

2. Judge

With great responsibility, judges rank second as the highest paid profession in Indonesia. The Salary Explorer survey records a salary of between INR 20,000,000 to INR 57,700,000 for this occupation

3. Lawyer

Still, lawyers are at the third position from the legal profession. According to Salary Explorer, this is because a lawyer's role determines the life or death of his/her client.

Lawyers salary in Indonesia ranges from IDR 16,300,000 to IDR 46,700,000

4. Bank Manager

The post of bank manager can be considered very prestigious in the banking world. According to Salary Explorer data, salaries in Indonesia range from IDR 15,300,000 to IDR 43,900,000.

5. Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

The role of the CEO is like the heart of the company. Because, this role shows the direction of the company and takes important decisions. Salary is in the range of IDR 14,400,000 to IDR 41,200,000

6. Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

The profession of dentist is also among the top 5 career lines with the highest salaries. Surveys show that salaries for this profession in Indonesia are in the range of IDR 12,900,000 to IDR 37,100,000.

8. Professor

The post of professor in the university is one of the most prestigious and the salary is also high. The range is between IDR 11,500,000 to IDR 33,000,000 in Indonesia.
